How It Works

Here’s a quick overview of what to expect:

Join the AAC and Get Your Materials

In order to participate, you must be a member of the AAC. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive all the necessary details to get started on September 16th.

Solo or Team Participation

When you join the challenge, you can choose to work individually or team up with peers. Both options provide a unique set of challenges and benefits.

Analyze, Model, and Solve

Throughout the 8-week challenge, you’ll be given the opportunity to dive deep into real-world climate data that actuaries can use to assess and mitigate insurance risk.

In addition, you’ll use your actuarial knowledge and technical skills such as Excel and Python to develop models and craft solutions relevant to insurers.

You’ll have access to peer discussions and expert guidance to help you along the way.

Submit and Review

At the end of the challenge, submit your findings. The best submissions will be publicly recognized and win a prize!
