Step-By-Step Guidance to Passing
Your First Actuarial Exam!
For Exam P/1 and Exam FM/2
Here’s How the Study Strategy Program Works
This is the only program available where you’ll have an actuarial mentor (Brea) working with you the entire time you’re studying.
I create a personalized, day-by-day study strategy for you, and make adjustments as needed based on your progress and daily performance. This ensures that you’re always completing the tasks that are most beneficial for you.
By joining, you’ll get:
PROVEN STUDY STRATEGY
Learn my proven approach to studying that has helped hundreds of exam candidates on their journey to passing their first actuarial exam. Avoid time-consuming studying mistakes that could lead to failure on exam day.
ADVICE FROM BREA & TEAM
My team and I are here to act as your personal mentors throughout this journey. You’ll be able to email us anytime for advice relating to your personal situation, your studying techniques, and even your actuarial career. No question is too big or small.
PERSONALIZED STUDY SCHEDULE
Take the guess-work out of studying. I’ll assign you specific tasks to complete each day so that you’re on track to be fully prepared by exam day. Your assigned tasks are based on your personal progress and performance from week to week.
WEEKLY CHECK-INS
Lack of consistency in studying is a very common reason for failure. Weekly check-ins bring you the structure and accountability that is typical of regular university-level courses. They’ll help you stay motivated and on track to achieving your goals.
PERFORMANCE TRACKING
If you’re concerned about going into the exam being under-prepared, then you’ll appreciate the performance tracking aspect of the program. I give you realistic performance goals to aim for. This way you’ll know when you’re truly ready to write the real exam.
MATH Q&A FORUM
It’s easy to waste hours feeling stuck trying to understand exam concepts or practice problems. You’ll get access to a Q&A forum where you’ll be able to ask all your math-related questions. They’ll be answered in less than 24 hours.
MEMBERS-ONLY WHATSAPP GROUP
Connect with everyone else in the program through the members-only Whatsapp Group. You can go to the group members if you’re feeling discouraged, stuck, or if you’d like advice on what has worked for others.
The level of support, encouragement, and confidence that you’ll get in the Study Strategy Program isn’t available anywhere else. Think about how much higher your chances of passing will be with a team of actuarial mentors, peers and studying coaches by your side on this journey.
Your Total Peace of Mind
To be fully prepared for your first exam, it’s best to start studying at least 14 weeks before your planned exam date.
So, if you join today and plan on taking your exam in June 2020 or later, you’ll get the added bonus of the $225 Pass Guarantee.
This guarantee gives you the peace of mind that if you are not successful on exam day, your next $225 exam registration fee will be 100% paid for when you rewrite.
The only requirements for the guarantee are that
• You plan to write your exam in June 2020 or after.
• You don’t fall more than 7 days behind schedule.
• You take your exam on the day you register for it.
Right now, I’m also offering a 14-Day Trial Period to everyone that joins the program. If you decide it’s not for you within the first 14 days, I’ll refund you 100%.
So, are you ready to join?
The sooner you start, the better prepared you’ll be by exam day and you may be able to take studying at a slower pace. If you’re not sure when you’re going to take the exam, you can still join now. I’ll help you figure that out.

Frequently Asked Questions
Click on the question below to expand it and see the answer.
Can I join even if I'm taking my exam before June 2020?
Yes, you can join the program even if your exam is before May. It’s extremely important that you’re spending your time wisely during the last 1-2 months before your exam. So, join as soon as possible to ensure we have the maximum amount of time together.
Note that the $225 Pass Guarantee Bonus only applies to anyone taking the exam in May or later. You do not have to register for the exam before joining the Study Strategy Program (actually I advise that you don’t).
Is it OK to join now if I'm planning to take my exam after June 2020?
Yes, it is OK to join now even if your exam is planned for after May and you will qualify for the $225 Pass Guarantee Bonus.
If you would like to take your exam in June or July then joining now would be perfect because you’ll be able to take studying at a slower pace. You’ll have lots of time to review concepts you have difficulty with and to reach the recommended performance targets before your exam.
If you are planning to take your exam in August or later, you don’t need to start your studying yet. (But why are you waiting? The sooner you can pass your exam, the sooner you’ll be able to start working in an actuarial position).
How much time to do I need to study?
If you’re planning to take your exam in May, it only takes about 3 hours daily for most members to be fully prepared. Throughout the last month before your exam, you may need to dedicate more time to studying depending on how you’re performing.
If you’re planning to take your exam in June or July, then dedicating about 2 hours daily to studying should be sufficient for most people. Study time requirements may increase as exam day gets closer depending on how you’re performing.
Are study materials included?
Study materials teach you the concepts on the exam, but they don’t provide any guidance in terms of how to use the materials properly to give yourself the best chance of passing.
The Study Strategy Program bridges the gap. You’ll learn how to make the best use of your study materials (and other free resources) so that you’re fully prepared by exam day.
So, study materials aren’t included but I have listed all my study material recommendations in the members’ area. The best study materials for you depend on your preferred learning style, prior knowledge and budget. Study materials can range from about $100 to $400 depending on your budget, which exam you’re taking and whether or not you’re a student.
Is it really worth it?
Most entry-level actuarial positions pay at least $50,000 per year. That’s $4,167 per month. But nearly all those positions will require that you have at least one exam passed.
That means that for every month you delay getting your first exam passed, you’re losing out on $4,167! So, why wouldn’t you do everything in your power to give yourself the best possible chance of passing as soon as you can?
Think about it; if you fail just once, you’re potentially losing over $8,000 because you have to wait at least 2 months to take it again.
Imagine finding the perfect actuarial full-time position or internship opportunity in your city, but not being able to meet their passed exam expectations. Your chances of getting the job decrease significantly and you have to wait weeks, months, or maybe years until another similar opportunity arises.
That’s why you should invest in yourself now; not only because you’ll be able to 10x your investment when you pass your exam and start earning an actuarial salary, but also because you’ll be better qualified for the best job opportunities that come your way.
If you have any other questions about the program, I’d be happy to answer them.  Just ask your question here and I’ll get back to you soon via email.
